Don’t Hit The Wall

“The Royal Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, Kings Cross, London, was built in 1874 and closed in 2019. It is a non-place; A transitory place, designed to guide its visitor in a certain path for a certain reason. Movement, gesture and bodily acts are under surveillance.

Now we are occupants and the purpose of the building is far from its original design. We can move through it at our own pace, listening to its creeks and wondering the numbers who have travelled through it.

Don’t Hit The Wall is a collaborative video piece that attempts to understand the projection the building has onto us, via our own projection of movement,
sound and video.”
